Flagship projects
This area is centered in the development of projects focused
on healthcare with the aim of developing external
rehabilitation systems that people or health professionals can
use to improve life quality of the population. The projects
developed within the scope of this department include
differential neural networks of finite element for the study
of deformation of soft objects, and physiological signals
classification for interaction in virtual reality systems for
the control of robotic manipulators and mobile robots.

This area involves experimentation with new materials
combinations, development of technologies for composed
materials printing, generation of new paterns and internal
support structures for pieces printing, and biomaterials
printing, among others. These are some of the projects that
can be developed in this laboratory.

The "Human to Humanoid Project" started with the design of a
humanoid robot with anthropometric proportions, which, apart
from its original purpose, it serves as a prototipe for
testing algorithms regarding automatic control, artificial
vision, path planning, navigation and artificial intelligence.
The scope of this project includes mechanical design, control
and power electronic boards design, user interfaces, flexible
and collaborative manufacture, industry 4.0 and, recently,
affective computing.
